Tokyo ETO participates in study-abroad fair at the University of Tokyo to promote Hong Kong’s higher education

The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Tokyo (Tokyo ETO) participated for the first time in “Go Global”, an annual on-campus study-abroad fair organised by the University of Tokyo on May 23 to foster globally minded talent. Through the event, Tokyo ETO promoted the high-quality higher education offered by Hong Kong universities, as well as Hong Kong’s initiatives to attract outstanding talent from around the world.

Speaking at a presentation session, Deputy Representative Mr Leo Tse highlighted Hong Kong’s aspirations and efforts to develop into an international education hub.

The fair, which mainly targeted first- and second-year students and attracted around 1,000 registered participants, was well attended and bustling with visitors. Participants also showed keen interest in scholarships offered by the Government and universities, as well as visa facilitation measures for talented students from around the world.
